About NORGÄTE

We are Claudia and Carlos Cordero Berkovic, siblings and co-founders of NORGÄTE and Peruvian Traditions. For over a decade, we have been designing and producing timeless alpaca garments that merge technical precision with ancestral textile knowledge from the Andes of Peru. Founded in 2016, NORGÄTE was created as a sustainable luxury knitwear brand focused on natural fibers, including alpaca and Peruvian Pima cotton. We consciously avoid acrylics and petroleum-based materials, believing that fashion must move toward responsible, long-lasting alternatives. Alpaca is naturally low-impact, durable, and traceable from the highlands to yarn production. Working under Fair Trade principles, we collaborate with more than 200 artisan families across the Andes, supporting skilled craftsmanship and ethical production. In 2022, we established our European presence, and in 2025 expanded into the United States, bringing our collections closer to our retail partners.
