About The Purposeful Co

The Purposeful Co’s roots began in 2016, after a trip my partner and I were visiting Orlando at the time of the Pulse Nightclub massacre. We both worked at Walt Disney World Resort years ago and still had many family and friends in the Orlando area at the time… Many of which were part of the LGBTQ+ community, and some that had friends that were actually there that night. So, with this in mind, we wanted to find a way to give back and support LGBTQ+ organizations. With both of us having a background in retail, we decided to produce an assortment of LGBTQ flag pins, giving proceeds back to local charitable organizations. Originally named Flag Pins for a Cause, The Purposeful Co. has expanded beyond flag designs into multiple product designs and categories. The product assortment has extended to also support Black Lives Matter, First Responders, AAPI, and Pet Rescues and we now partner with national charitable organizations to support their causes with custom products that are used in fundraisers, events and festivals. We are a small, women’s owned business located in Columbus, Ohio and continue to give back and support local causes such as Gay for Good, Pride New Albany, Columbus Urban League and PetPromise.Read their story
