About Supersoie

Founded in Los Angeles, Supersoie (pronounced Super-so-ee, which means "super silk" in French) is a premium silk house specializing in silk pillowcases, silk scrunchies, silk eye masks and more. The founder of Supersoie battled with severe acne and redness in her late 20s, which was the first time she ever experienced acne. She tried everything to make it go away - changing her diet, drinking more water, changing her skincare routine, taking prescriptive pills and even applying Accutane. Nothing seemed to consistently work. One day she would see an improvement and the next, acne and redness would come right back. Not only did acne affect her skin, it really impacted her psychological wellbeing - she found herself shying away from social settings and felt less confident overall. As a last resort, she remembered reading an article about the benefits of silk and decided to invest in a silk pillowcase. Over consistent use of about three months, she started seeing a gradual improvement in her skin and tone, and her acne eventually went away! While the benefits of silk were very clear, high quality silk with a reasonable price tag just did not exist. If the quality was good, it was way too expensive. If it was affordable, the quality did not stand. And that's how she decided that she wanted to start a company that would make high quality silk products available to the general public at a reasonable cost.
