Let us tell you a little bit about one of the greatest love stories that was never told. In the 1950s, two teenagers met for the first time. At first glance, this meeting seemed inconsequential but it ended up giving birth to a legacy. Edward Joseph Brown, Jr. saw Ina Rae Baxter for the first time across the playground and he fell in love at the first sight of her, declaring to the world that he would marry her one day. He adored her. He would often say that she was always so well put together and that she never had a single hair out of place. She had her clothes tailored and her make up was flawless. When Edward was called to serve his country, he did not want to risk losing the love of his life and asked Ina Rae to become his wife. Soon after they were wed, he was deployed and during this time of separation they wrote love letters to each other. These are the letters that we share with you. Ina Rae was fond of red lipstick and the letters were often marked with a crimson kiss and ended her letters with “Love, Rae”. She shared her love of makeup with her children and grandchildren. To them, it represents love. This is why we decided to release our makeup line. It is about more than the color but also about how it makes someone feel.
