About ZIKICO

Mitsunori Yamase sensed metallic taste when he tasted a soup with a stainless steel spoon. It came from lipids degenerated by oxidizing phenomena of metals and he noticed, that it hid the flavor. It leaded a thought that the cutleries should not made of metal, so he established ZIKICO to produce the zirconia made cutleries. Zirconia was a ceramic used for medical implants and accessories. His team had developed processing technology of the zirconia after 10 years of research based on his experience in a laboratory in former job in Germany. He challenges people to know the true flavor of cuisine with zirconia cutleries.
