We are Julia and Oliver, the co-founders of Jozo. Julia has celiac disease, and has to adhere to a strict gluten free diet. We are passionate home chefs who love to try different flavors. This led us to the magic of barrel aged tamari. We fell in love, and Jozo was born. Jozo Tamari Soy Sauce is barrel-aged in cedar casks for 1-2 years. Jozo is hand-crafted in small batches with high quality, naturally gluten free ingredients. The result is a tamari with exceptional umami, and a nuanced salt profile.
