HOW I CREATED BANISH My insecurity had always been my skin. I always had terrible acne since the third grade. I tried product after product, oral antibiotics that ended with ‘myacin,” and dermatologists became my best friend. In college, I developed cystic-like acne that was very painful to touch and would leave a scar afterward. It was one of my hiding days when I found a YouTube video of someone who also shared her experience with acne. That inspired me to start fulfilling my dream of helping others deal with the aftermath of acne. After college, I met a plastic surgeon who recommended using a cosmetic tool in conjunction with a Vitamin C serum instead of undergoing laser surgery, and so I tried it out . A few months later, my viewers on YouTube were complimenting me about the difference. And as the saying goes, “the rest is history.” SMALL BATCH SKINCARE We're a small independent business and we make, ship, and package each order directly to you from our office located in Pasadena, CA. You wouldn’t eat something that’s been sitting in a warehouse for a few years, would you? SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING We package our skincare in all glass jars and bottles. We use 100% recycled material like kraft gum paper tape, and corrugated paper wrap. CAUSES WE CARE ABOUT Our mission is to Banish the shame that comes with acne and scars, and build a community of people who spread positivity and confidence.
