About A Blackbird Sang

Our name, A Blackbird Sang, is taken from a line in the poem Adlestrop by Edward Thomas: "And for that minute, a blackbird sang close by." Founded by Genny and Tony in 2016, our work is inspired by nature and poetry, drawn (by us) in our studio in Oxfordshire and all made in the UK. We exhibit our work at local and national prestigious events including Oxfordshire artweeks and the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. We use minimal plastic-free packaging. We work with suppliers who care about quality and deliver on time. Our smaller designs are packed by Julie here in our village of Stonesfield. Our key hooks are bent at our kitchen table, if not by Tony then by local students. Part of the A Blackbird Sang revenues go towards funding conservation projects such as meadow restoration here in Oxfordshire and supporting local and national charities in the wildlife, food and mental health sectors.
