About Alero

Alero began with my love for candles and the sense of calm they bring to a space. I’ve always been drawn to scent as a way to slow down and create moments of comfort at home, but that appreciation led me to question what I was actually burning. When I discovered that one of my favourite candle brands was made using paraffin wax — a petroleum-derived by-product — and fragranced with ingredients that can release toxins when burned, I started to look more closely at the wider industry. As I researched non-toxic alternatives, I realised they weren’t always easy to find or accessible. I created Alero to offer a more considered approach to home fragrance. Every candle is handmade in small batches using 100% plant-based wax and non-toxic, phthalate- and paraben-free fragrances, inspired by countries around the world. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, from our plastic-free packaging to our intentional production process. Proudly female-owned, Alero is designed for those who value both aesthetics and intention, inviting a slower, more mindful way to experience scent. Alongside my core collections, I offer handcrafted candle and wax melt favours for weddings, baby showers, corporate events, and client gifting.
