About Ava Ray Doodles

I've been drawing since grade school. The doodles got more intricate in college, more refined over time- and during 2020, what had always been a private creative outlet found an audience. That's when the greeting cards, prints, and baby apparel came together as a real collection. My work is hand-drawn, nature-inspired, and deliberately unhurried. Every piece starts as a sketch- repetitive, meditative line work that I find genuinely calming to make. The result is illustration that feels considered rather than produced. The through-line in everything I make is feeling. A card that says exactly the right thing without saying too much. A print that makes a room feel quieter.
