Lush courtyards, vibrant colors and lively scenes are just a few ways New Orleans plays a role in my work. My signature style stems from a Printmaking process I got into years ago called: a Monotype. Traditionally, a Monotype begins with a layer of ink rolled onto a printmaking slab and the ink is “lifted” away to create a painterly image that can only be printed once. I use this same concept as a base for my original oil paintings. I take a painted canvas and remove the paint with brushes to reveal the highlights then go back in with the darks to get a painting with a full value range. My fine art prints (giclée) are printed on canvas using the highest quality inks and materials. I am meticulous about making them as close to the original as possible– so much so that it can be hard to tell the difference between the print and its original. Read their story
