Hey! I’m Jess, or JEylesDesigns! I’m an Artist, crafter, Rollerskater and Enrepreneur originally from West Yorkshire! While I was initially on the path to a career in a science lab, my inner creative was unleashed in the 2020 lockdown, where the world was forced to slow down and I was able to spend my time doing creative things that I truly loved. As the world began to open, I refused to go back to a 9-5 life in a place that didn’t inspire me. I’d gotten a taste of what leading my own life doing something I loved could feel like and I wasn’t turning back! I began creating my own small businesses propagating and selling houseplants and macrame plant hangers, dog sitting and working on my art on the side making pet portraits of the adorable dogs I was looking after. After being commissioned to create a Brighton art print, I couldn’t wait to make something to represent the bright colour and quirks of this wonderful city, a place which I couldn’t resist moving to myself! The fabulous colours and character of this city inspired me to be more bright and bold with my work and as a person and now I’m inspired to bring as much colour and joy to people as I possibly can! I’m so excited and grateful that I get to share my creations with you! This had always been a secret dream of mine that I thought might never come true.
