About The Merry Mill

In a small county in the middle of Ireland The Merry Mill began. The Scully family farm has been passed down for generations when it reached Kevin who converted it to an Organic farm. In the past oats were grown on the farm to feed cows, until one day the youngest daughter Niamh asked why she couldn't eat them too. From that moment the Scully's have built the first Organic Gluten Free Oat mill in Ireland and are growing annually. Today they grow, harvest and mill Organic Gluten Free Porridge Oats and oat products on their family farm. Kevin, Jenny and their four daughters work together to produce premium products for their local and global customers. Sustainability is at the core of their business and they operate a circular economy on the farm, the mill waste is used as cattle feed and bedding the cattle manure is then used as fertiliser for the following years crop. The Scully family believe that health is the root of all happiness, good food is medicinal, and when you do what you love and love what you do the future seems very bright. Read their story
