About Book Page Art

BookPageArt began when we found a box of discarded books, on a curb in New York City. We brought them home and decided to give the books new life as art! Old books are thrown away by libraries, donation centers, schools and every day people. And while they may no longer be in the best reading condition anymore- the old weathered book pages make an excellent medium for our art. As people view and interact with BookPageArt it ignites in them an excitement to connect with stories they have loved in the past and affords them the opportunity to discover other books they have not yet read. Promoting literacy in this way has become a key principle and motivation as we continue to expand our art library. Another core value we embrace is sustainability. As a woman owned local small business, we feel responsible to use green packing materials, locally sourced supplies and environmentally friendly practices in all we do.
