About RoniB's Kitchen

Roni Bandong is a marine zoologist turned foodpreneur. Her journey started in 2016 when she joined a cook-off on TV against four other ladies, where she cooked a traditional Christmas dish from the Philippines. Winning the cook-off, Roni realised that the flavours from her native country are underrepresented in the UK. This sparked the idea for RoniB's Kitchen. Roni wanted people to taste and love the many flavours of the Philippines because they are bold and complex. The cuisine is a combination of Malay, Spanish, Chinese, South American, and American. She started making her products from her Surrey kitchen in 2017 using family recipes and her memories of home. In 2019, she decided to give it a go as a business. In the following years, RoniB's Kitchen has received three Great Taste Awards from 2019 to 2021, which earned them the coveted Great Taste Producer seal. Read their story
