About Apiary Naturals

I'm often asked how I became a beekeeper; simply put, I had a mid-life crisis and decided to turn it into a productive experience for myself, my family & the world. I am a retired (recovering) corporate executive with a background in strategy, operations and performance management. Outside of corporate life, I was always an urban farmer and a maker, mainly for my family and as a hobby. When I decided to begin beekeeping, I quickly realized with my background I could do so much more for the honey industry, which now makes me not so retired, anymore. My passion lies in bringing products created in nature by the honeybee to market for consumers to enjoy in various ways; from honey as natural and straight from the hive as possible to soap, lotions, candles and beyond I am able to not just support my own farm but to elevate other keepers, honey and honeybee products from across the Commonwealth of Virginia. We bring your pallet nectars many are currently not able to readily experience and help consumers better understand the importance of hardwood forests to the ongoing stability of honeybees across our nation. Whether we are designing a label or git box, bottling honey or making a product with honey we have our customers experience and the welfare of honeybee’s top of mind. We are constantly innovating and pushing ourselves to grow our product line in ways that continue to bring the importance of honeybee sustainability to the forefront of our lives & the lives of our customers.
