Daniela Millan is a women-owned, self-funded and ethical jewelry line, our pieces are assembled by our all-women team in our Mexico City studio. I’ve always believed fashion has the power to create a better version of us and most fashion brands now understand that true success lies in the ability to inspire and captivate. They usually rely on sustainable practices, cultural relevance, or innovative designs, and of course these aspects are very important to consider but, we need to look for proposals with a broader vision. Few years ago I decided to create a brand not only with the idea of showing a unique work, but with the purpose of inviting women to pause, reflect and channel their inner strength. It all started with me when I understood that in order to feel more confident, I had to go beyond changing my appearance. I needed to shift my mindset and quiet my self-doubt. I’ve realized the key lies in the small steps we take each day so one day, it occurred to me to use my jewelry into more than just an accessory—to make it a tool for inner well-being, so I designed this routine where every time I put my jewelry on I said something nice to myself. I began practicing this even in the days where I felt there was nothing to say, I made a conscious effort to find kindness just for me and over time, I started to witness a transformation within myself. My jewelry served as a grounding force, reminding me every day that I’m my own masterpiece.
