A veteran and female owned business, Florin Arte designs are inspired by history, art, and travel. Florin Arte jewelry transcends beauty. It is also about discovery, adventure and empowerment. Michelle Saari Flynn, designer and co-founder of Florin Arte, developed a passion for travel and discovery early in life fueled by her mother, an international flight attendant, and her father, a career submarine commander. Michelle majored in Theatre in college but her real life “roles” have been even more exciting - Navy Commander, Blue Angels Officer, designer, business owner and, most importantly, wife and mother to her three children. After college, Michelle followed her father’s footsteps and was accepted to the U.S. Navy Officer Candidate School and became one of the first cadre of women assigned to a U.S. aircraft carrier. Later she fulfilled a lifelong dream by serving as the logistics officer with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels for 3 years. After a 20 year career, love of the creative arts would again take center stage leading her to the Rhode Island School of Design, where she earned a certificate of Interior Design. In another twist, Michelle decided to pursue her love for creating jewelry by founding Florin Arte with her husband in 2020 to bring her passion for history, art and travel to her designs. She resides with her family in Rhode Island.
