About Chef Kitty

You know how it is… When you love your pet, you’ll do anything for them. For us, that meant going on a full-on research mission to find treats we genuinely felt good about feeding our pampered pooch. It all started with our picky Pomeranian princess, Hazel, our teacup Pomeranian – a very good girl with an incredibly sensitive stomach. During lockdown, we spent even more time together. And like any devoted pet parents, we wanted to treat her (some might say she’s spoiled, but we prefer “well-loved”). But after years of struggling to find food she could tolerate, sourcing treats we felt confident about felt almost impossible. So we did what pet parents do when they care a little too much – we researched, compared, read labels, and tested carefully. Eventually, we discovered freeze-dried treats that quickly became the highlight of Hazel’s day. The hoomans behind Chef Kitty Hello! I’m Esen, one of the Chef Kitty founders. We’re a small family team with big hearts… and serious love for animals. I personally volunteer with dog shelters and rescue programs, helping raise funds and support pets in need in my spare time. As a Mediterranean woman, natural, nourishing ingredients have always been important to me. But living in New York, I found it surprisingly difficult to source treats for Hazel that didn’t come with guilt or “mystery” ingredients.
