About In My Backyard

In My Backyard is the happy home of the paper goods, small batch accessories, and fine art prints by artist and illustrator Katie Wilson (hi there!). I'm currently living in Victoria, BC, Canada. I paint and draw, finding inspiration in the little details I see in my garden, the landscape around me and on long nature rambles in the surrounding forests and beaches. I love exploring themes of home and cosiness, and our place in the natural world. As well as running In My Backyard, I work as a freelance illustrator and surface pattern designer for projects such as children’s books, greeting cards, toys and clothing.
