We have been Making Laser Engraved and Cut Ornaments since 2004 with a combined 30+ years of design, wood working and laser engraving experience. We purchased our first laser in 2003 and engraved everything from a hot dog to the bottom of our neighbors shoes! Literally everything that was not tied down became an "engraving project" for us. By 2004 we decided to follow the K.I. S.S. rule and focused on ornaments and ONLY ornaments. It was tough, day in and day out people, friends and family, saying "you can do this and you can do that". They were right, we COULD. But we stayed focused on our Ornaments and after 14 years, and 5 Machines later, we are still streamlined on our trademarked product line of ornaments; TimberCharms; a product line of our company Custom Engraved Products! Although machinery is involved, there is A LOT of hand work that goes into creating our ornaments, We believe our expertise shows in our quality of each finalized design. Remember, if it's not Custom Engraved, it's not a REAL TimberCharm® Production Methods: Our ornaments are laser cut and engraved. We do not apply color in any fashion, but instead have perfected a technique that allows the natural oils from the wood to rise to the surface of each ornament. The only exception to this rule is when we offer our design as a magnet. In this case only the second layer backing of the magnet is stained a darker color to contrast with our natural front. This creates a unique coloring for each ornament made. Read their story
