About Bear Food

After moving on from 2 years of collegiate basketball, I had to figure out how to pay for school! So, I began selling gourmet Virginia peanuts. I grew up around this delicious product because my mom used to sell Virginia peanuts as well! I saw the potential so I decided to create Bear Food. Bear Food was initially a corporate gifting company, focused on unique, customized gifts. However, the first winter opened up my eyes to the thought that Bear Food could become a full time job! People kept asking where they could buy the product so this resulting in launching our wholesale and retail divisions of the company. Our products are amazing, but there is something else that makes our company great as well. While creating Bear Food, I wanted to integrate something special that was close to my heart. My brother Miller, who has Down Syndrome, had just graduated from high school and needed a job or at least a stepping stone into his adult life. This is was inspired me to to include him and other local special needs adults to work directly with Bear Food. Through our fulfillment center, Bear Food is creating a workplace for these young special needs adults to gains productive job training to better prepare them for their future endeavors. All in all, we have the highest quality products in the country and an amazing story to go with it. We are continuing to grow and this growth helps us pour back into the community.
