About Lou Blakey

Hi, I'm Lou, an artist, illustrator, and very busy mum of three, based in the UK. My work is playful, colourful, and a little nostalgic, inspired by everyday life, music, nature, and the small moments that often go unnoticed. I especially love drawing characters and scenes that tell a story or make people smile. One day I’d love to illustrate children’s books, so I’m slowly building up a portfolio alongside prints and cards. Everything I make comes from a love of storytelling and a genuine need to create. Whether it’s a puffin, a familiar street scene, or a man sharing a moment with his dog in a café, it all comes from the heart. When products are professionally printed, I source items based on their environmental credentials, for instance, recycled notebook paper and FSC certified printed cards.
