About Singing Leaf

One-of-a-kind paper collage using natural leaves and flowers, collected and pressed by the artist. *** Celebrating uniqueness in every leaf, every tree, all plants, I see so much variety within one plant, in one season. Collecting is my way of connecting— to both nature and community. Happy memories of people and plants come to mind as I choose my leaf and compose, after six months of pressing. In my collages, our world and its structures play against the wonders of the natural world, as I use design elements to draw attention to a leaf’s exquisite detail, beauty and surprising art.
