About All Shades

With All Shades, every card is an opportunity to make someone feel seen, understood, and valued, no matter the emotion or occasion. Launched in 2022, I was inspired to found All Shades after a lifetime of experiences visiting card shops and supermarkets, to find a lack of relatable imagery for black or other ethnically diverse family and friends—beyond inanimate objects. Cards have the power to convey a spectrum of emotions—from immense joy and pride to excitement, disappointment, and the sadness of grief. Taking the time to select a card and putting pen to paper is an enduring cherished tradition, even in our digital age. Our cards blend modern luxury with distinct style, perfect for those seeking representation and quality. They are designed to resonate with the nuances of black culture and urban life. We demonstrate our dedication and commitment to our planet and community through sustainability and social justice. We utilise kraft recycled envelopes and source our cards from FSC-certified suppliers to ensure responsible management of the world's forests. We also partner to plant a tree for every 20 cards we sell, joining the fight against climate change and social inequality. Lastly, we are proud supporters of #Fairchecks, fighting to ensure that people with criminal records have a fair chance to find work and fulfil their potential.
