About Us We’re Derek and Danielle, the husband-and-wife duo behind Batch Mead. We opened our doors in November 2019 after Derek spent seven years perfecting mead at home (and perfecting sales tax in his day job—blegh!). What started as a passion project became a small, family-run meadery in Temecula, CA dedicated to crafting crushable, fruit-forward meads and hard ciders. Our Craft Mead may be the world’s oldest alcohol, but there aren’t many roadmaps for making it great—just a lot of patience, curiosity, and real ingredients. Every bottle reflects Derek’s years of experimentation and our commitment to quality: no extracts, no artificial flavors—just local honey and real fruit. Now on Faire: Bulk Honey Alongside our meads, we’re excited to offer bulk honey sourced from our partners at Temecula Valley Honey Co. This is the same local wildflower honey we rely on in our award-winning recipes—raw, vibrant, and true to the Temecula Valley.
