Our Story starts in 1839. A pioneer named Mary Bumby, an English immigrant who after a five-month boat journey, arrived on the shores of New Zealand with two beehives. It was the arrival of Mary and the very first European honeybees to New Zealand that sparked what is now known around the world as Manuka Honey.
