About MauD Nakà

Between artisanal know-how and ethical fashion MaUD is a French brand of handbags and accessories founded by two sisters. MaUd has chosen to use Madagascar raffia as a base material in all her creations. Raffia is a natural fiber native to the Big Island. Called raffia, raffia or even rofia, this textile fiber is of a rare quality due to its strength, its flexibility and its exceptional color. Renowned for the singularity of their weavings, we work with a workshop of Malagasy women artisans composed of Nih, Niry, Nanja, Raphaeline, Mialy and Julie, so all our collections are made entirely by hand. These craftswomen are carefully involved in maintaining the use of this noble material, and MaUD offers them stable and long-lasting employment and the promotion of their know-how.Read their story
