About English Rose Linens

We are a small company selling baby clothes and nightwear for children and adults. The styles have been designed by me with direct reference to my customers needs and what they like and made in a small family concern of skilled needlewomen. I hope you enjoy them! They are unashamedly traditional and pretty with plenty of roses and rosebuds. Like a magpie I have always loved pretty things! I started my life as a trader in order to bring beautiful things from another part of the world to this country. Also I love to make things myself and believe it is very important to support those who create. One is governed by practicality. When importing beautiful hand-painted lamps, there was much space in the crates. So I filled that space with tablecloths. These were more popular than the lamps! However people's tastes evolve, as they always do, and listening to what customers say that they couldn’t find I sourced different products. These were always unusual and made of beautiful fabric which had been elegantly embellished with embroidery. And so English Rose Linens was born. Judith Read their story
