About LAWA Candles

We’re Polina and Kseniya—two women from Belarus who came to America believing that thoughtful, beautifully made products should stand out. We founded LAWA Candles in Los Angeles to bring that belief to life. Our idea was simple and a little defiant: create candles that feel more like design objects than disposable décor. While much of the candle market is filled with paraffin wax, synthetic fragrance, and plastic packaging, we chose a different path. LAWA candles are unscented, sculptural, and hand-poured in Los Angeles using soy wax. Every piece is designed to add personality, color, and a sense of playfulness to a space. Our packaging is entirely plastic-free and created with organic and recycled paper, making the unboxing experience as thoughtful as the candle itself. Since launching, LAWA has grown into a community of design-conscious customers and retailers who appreciate distinctive products with a strong point of view. Our packaging and candle-making videos have reached millions of viewers, helping us build an audience of more than 90,000 followers on Instagram and over 400,000 monthly views on Pinterest.
