It all started about 7 years ago, after living abroad for 2 years, my father (leather master) showed me how to make a simple bracelet. Shortly after, I wanted to make one for a friend, and then I was wanting to make them for all my friends. I put empowering and thoughtful sayings on them, hoping that if they wore it and looked down, it would make them smile. After borrowing his tools and leather over and over, he set me up with my own alphabet stamps, a hammer and some leather. He said “You need to find your own style and teach yourself.” I’m so thankful for this because it made me appreciate the craft so much more, being self taught. Soon I started making custom bracelets for a profit, and decided that I should start a little business. I named it “Seek Adventure Co” because I wanted to use the money to travel the world. I did it as a side hustle for a long time before I started taking it seriously. When we moved to Austin, TX I spent about 12k on tools, and materials, and then started making dog items and got my products in 7 stores. When my wife, 2 dogs and I moved to Washington, I went full time with it, and now I do about 40 craft markets a year! Read their story
