About Canù

Canù is a project conceived and developed by Campo Cooperative, which has been dealing with organic food since 1978, with basic products such as pasta, tomatoes and vegetables. Canù is the world's first organic, gluten-free and 100% biodegradable straw paste. With Canù we wanted to give an answer to the planet even before the 2018 Brussels law banning the use of disposable plastic products, including straws. We were the first to develop a straw paste that is mainly used as a straw; Canù lasts longer than an hour before softening and during drinking the beverage does not change taste or colour. Canù is gluten - free so that it is accessible to everyone, including coeliacs; it is organic because if we talk about plastic free we should talk about a 'poison free' world, in other words, without poisons in the field; if poisons end up in the sea, they are more dangerous than plastic because they are invisible.
