About North State Design Co.

North State Designs has long been committed to maintaining a zero-waste and sustainable operation. Because of these beliefs, we aim to utilize every portion of the logs that come to us at our hardwood sawmill. Following these beliefs of remaining waste free and self-sustainable, we began turning logs into live-edge slabs, which then became the main organic material used in all of our designs. From cutting boards to dining room tables, all of our designs are handmade using wood that is ethically sourced from of western North Carolina. Each finished piece is one-of-a-kind and has a shape, figure and character all its own, making each piece much like a work of art. We take pride in the uniqueness and natural aspects of each piece and aim to let the wood speak for itself. Read their story
