Since 2019, PerlesRaresDjonou has been showcasing the brilliant Krobo beads; made from recycled glass bottles in Ghana and worn throughout the sub-region in West Africa (Benin, Togo, Côte d'Ivoire, etc.). She combines these beads with the beauty of Akan weights (beads made using the lost-wax technique), bronzes. The mission of PerlesRaresDjonou is to craft an aesthetic of jewelry for everyday wear, even though these pieces are often used for traditional celebrations.
