THE SAUCE THAT STARTED AT THE GRILL It was the summer of 2010, I took over grilling duties at mom’s house, and in that moment, something ignited inside me — not just the charcoal, but a genuine love of cooking. That spark sent me down a delicious rabbit hole. Studying cooking shows like MasterChef, and even more hours standing over a stove, learning techniques, experimenting with spices, and chasing the kind of flavor that made people close their eyes when they took a bite. Cooking became my craft, my meditation, my joy. But there was a problem. Every time I reached for a bottle of hot sauce something was missing. The commercial sauces I found on store shelves felt hollow. Too thin on flavor. Too one-dimensional. Built for the masses rather than the passionate. My love of hot sauce, the neglect of certain ingredients, and the absence of real flavor from commercial hot sauces led me to a decision: I would create my own. This was my opportunity for people to taste the flavors I cook without the overhead and grueling nature of a restaurant. Batches were made, tasted, tweaked, and tasted again. Friends and family became my willing test kitchen. Pink guava kissed with habanero heat, honeydew melon dancing with jalapeño, super hot peppers that make true spice lovers sit up straight.
