How we accidentally invented the world's most versatile 'everything strap' We hiked with our firstborn son in a backpack carrier as soon as he was old enough. The binky clips we bought online were meant for infant clothes, and couldn’t clip to the rugged pack material. Their straps were also too short, and couldn’t reach our son, so they hung over the side, unused. Bored, he would rip the binky clip off and toss it overboard, losing them on the trail. For his first birthday, we took him to the zoo and bought him a stuffed moose. Somewhere between the red panda and the tiger exhibit, the stuffed animal disappeared, gone overboard forever. (As well as our $38) Frustrated at the toys and soothers we were losing, we searched for a pacifier clip that could lock onto our hiking pack and stroller. There wasn’t one out there.
