About Serafine Art and Design

Serafine Art & Design is an Ohio-based illustration and surface design studio founded by artist Marie Lipocky. Inspired by her upbringing in Northeast Ohio and her father’s career as a professional draftsman, Marie has been creating art for as long as she can remember, with a drawing tool in hand by the age of two. Her work is rooted in nature and storytelling, featuring lush florals, rich textures, detailed linework, and a whimsical cottagecore aesthetic. From cozy bookish themes to enchanting seasonal collections, each design is created to feel both nostalgic and fresh — art that invites customers to slow down, stay awhile, and romanticize the everyday. The name “Serafine” honors Marie’s grandmother, whose middle name now lives on through a business she wholeheartedly supported. While Marie has been creating illustrated gifts for over 15 years, Serafine Art & Design was officially established in 2021 and quickly grew into a beloved bookish brand. Starting in 2024, her artwork became officially licensed by bestselling authors including Sarah J. Maas, Penn Cole, Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti and more!
