In India's slums, women struggle to provide for their families and secure a future for their children. The bags are braided by disabled people and single mothers, among others, who are part of a Fairtrade project to train women in different crafts so that they are able to have a better life, including for their children. Families are also secured medical care and medicine when they need it and the children are assured schooling and homework assistance. The bags are done with care and a result of great artisanal ability. Customers use them for example for grocery shopping, as weekend bag, for laundry, for winter bathing, as puzzle bag for diapers, changing clothes, etc. The bags are braided by plastic wire, in which are included plastic from recycled plastic drink bottles
