When I started Nicotato, I wanted to create something that felt personal. Something that captured the quiet joy of sending a card and the beauty of the little things we notice in nature. The name comes from a mix of “Nico,” my nickname, and a nod to my Idaho roots (yes, land of the potatoes). It’s a funny name, but it fits. This brand is deeply rooted in home, warmth, and meaning. I’m an illustrator first, and every Nicotato card begins as a drawing. Usually inspired by flowers I see on walks, seasonal color palettes, or things I want to say but don’t always have the words for. I design each card to feel like a gift in itself. Something someone would be proud to pick up at a flower shop or a small boutique. Right now, I’m focused solely on greeting cards & notebooks. They’re printed on high-quality paper and come packaged and ready for display. My goal is to make it easy for shop owners to carry cards that feel special. Something their customers will reach for when they want to send a thoughtful note, a birthday wish, or a sweet “thinking of you.” At the heart of it all, Nicotato is about helping people connect.
