About Golden Paper Goods

Hi! My name is Cess and I am the creator behind Golden Paper Goods. I’ve had a passion for art and graphic design since I was a kid. At the age of 10, I had learned to code, design websites and created free graphics for the public to use on forums, Xanga and Myspace. PHP and Corel Paint Shop Pro were my life. As I got older I put my skills to the side but I have since reconnected and I love everything about creating. I have worked full time in risk management for the last 6 years and while I really enjoy it, it did push me to explore a more creative outlet. One of my biggest dreams in life was to have a golden retriever. I knew I wanted him to be extra brown (dark red golden) and his name was going to be Charlie. For YEARS, I would tell my friends about all the adventures Charlie and I would go on. I went to sleep every night thinking about the day I would be able to meet him. With the demands of my profession, having a dog was out of the question so to quell my obsession I began creating doodles of Goldens…eventually those drawings became stickers…cards..decals.. and in 2020, after exhausting my friends with my drawings, I decided to share them with the world. Golden Paper Goods was born. It has been such a rewarding experience and the brand has grown to so much more. Best of all, with the pandemic slowing the world down, I was able to meet my beautiful Charlie Brown in August of 2020. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Read their story
