Fashion companies have relied on the use of leather and environmentally harmful plastics for a long time. In doing so, “fast fashion” has placed speed and cost optimization above the interest of the environment. We believe that with kraft paper and natural and renewable raw materials, there is a better and more sustainable way. Like so many others, our story begins with solving a problem. When looking for a backpack that accompanies us every step of the way in our everyday lives, we found nothing that really met our expectations in terms of design, size, workmanship and, above all, exceptional material. So we set out to design such a backpack according to our ideas. The main raw material for our products is wood. To be more precise, long-fibred and slow-growing softwood from FSC-certified cultivation. This creates a paper type with the highest strength, which is also water-repellent and tear-resistant. The kraft paper. Thanks to the special properties of kraft paper, our products are hard-wearing, such as linen or canvas, and can be washed by hand at 30°C. Our products are vegan & made completely without animal ingredients and carry the PETA Approved Vegan label and are OEKO-TEX certified. Together with onetreeplanted.org, we plant a tree for every paper backpack sold and thus participate in reforestation.Read their story
