Mahogany Citizen is a lifestyle brand that represents individualism in homes globally, especially from the African diaspora. Eccentric looks, tribal print, and Mudcloth is what I’ve always seen in homes from my childhood such as my afrocentric aunt or my grandmother’s home which floors were covered with expensive oriental rugs. I loved making my own pillows, dying my bed linens, and creating different home decor items I couldn’t find in stores. Combining my love for home decor, crafting, and knowing how to sew from my mother, Mahogany Citizen was born. I’m so happy to share my creations so others can enjoy it in their own homes as well.
