GJ Styles began in 1985 as an antique business, founded by Glyn and Jill Styles in Leominster, England—a historic market town renowned for its antique heritage and artisanal traditions. What started as a passion for collecting evolved into a commitment to producing finely crafted antique reproductions. In 1997, recognizing growing demand in the U.S., the company relocated to High Point, NC, positioning itself at the center of the American furniture industry. In 2008, GJ Styles partnered with Timothy Oulton and Halo to create Halo Styles, which became one of the originators of classic European design in America. With an emphasis on heritage, artistry, and enduring elegance, Halo Styles quickly established itself as a destination for distinctive, high-quality furnishings. In 2014, Glyn Styles led a buyout, restoring the company’s independence and reaffirming its dedication to exceptional design and timeless quality. In 2024, GJ Styles entered its next chapter under the leadership of Doug Diemoz, who served in senior leadership roles at Crate & Barrel, Williams-Sonoma, and Restoration Hardware. Honoring the company’s legacy while moving forward, he brings a thoughtful approach—one that values the artistry, heritage, and relationships that have shaped GJ Styles over the years.
