About Luna Maki

Hola! We are Luna Maki! We grow coffee down in Honduras regeneratively then roast and sell it up here in St. Louis Missouri. Down on our farms we don't use any chemicals or pesticides and we are working to help our community to make the shift to regenerative organic, helping heal the land! When you buy from us you are buying directly from the farmers, our entire system is built on paying our workers higher prices to only give us the ripest coffee, this prevents that nasty acidic aftertaste and makes it easier on your gut! Afterwards have women in our community "Las Pollas" go though and pick out every moldy and defective bean by hand. We then get our products lab tested and certified up in the states for over 500 pesticides and the most common mycotoxins/molds. Our cover photo is the processing facility that we have been building over the past few years. Luna Maki directly translates to "Moon Woman" but is used as an idiom to mean a New Opportunity. By buying our beans, you are helping pay farmers higher prices, reforesting our farms, bringing back the biodiversity, and in turn creating a new opportunity for all involved!
