Rogue Evergreens started with a wreath business. Customers kept burying their faces in the boughs and asking how to take that smell home. I went looking for something to recommend and found nothing - every "pine" candle and spray on the market was a synthetic guess at a tree. I'm a forester. It bugged me enough that I started distilling the trees myself. Today Rogue Evergreens is a small-batch distillery in Ashland, Oregon. I hand-harvest boughs - many from wildfire fuel-reduction projects - and steam-distill every batch myself. Five Pacific Northwest species, each bottled on its own: Douglas-fir, Grand Fir, Noble Fir, Ponderosa Pine, and Incense Cedar. Every product smells like one real tree. No blends. No synthetics. No guessing. On a shelf, the scent does the selling.
