About Labre's Hope

Labre’s hope is a social enterprise, based in Sheffield, providing living wage employment to young people experiencing homelessness - or those at risk. Alongside this, we provide qualifications and employment coaching to each of our staff members for one hour per week free of charge through our partners, Sheffield city council, during their work shift. What makes our approach to solving homelessness holistic is our additional provision of mental health support on a fortnightly basis through a team of NHS doctors. Ultimately, we aim to provide everything a person needs to escape homelessness. Our organisation began back in 2019 when our founder, got to know a lady experiencing homelessness whilst studying at university - who was usually outside his local Sainsburys. her story of how she became homeless was one not uncommon. a person stuck in the cycle of domestic abuse whose only option was to flee. But with no one to turn to, they became homeless. hearing this, Aaron wrote his dissertation on how to solve homelessness through enterprise and decided to make it come to life at the age of 21. Since then, we have supported 39 people out of homelessness. we’re so proud that our staff members have gone on to do incredible things. we have helped people: start their own companies, get jobs at the NHS, become ambassadors for national homeless charities and supported people to re-enter long-term education.
