About Rural Candles

RURAL is a visible minority, woman-owned candle brand founded in the Kootenays in 2020 and handcrafted in small batches in Tsawwassen, BC. Currently carried in over 58 independent retailers across Canada — including florists, garden centres, and boutiques — our candles are a natural complement to fresh floral arrangements and thoughtfully curated retail spaces. We make beautifully simple candles using only 100% plant-based waxes, premium phthalate-free fragrances, and genuine gemstone adornment — non-toxic, cruelty-free, and consciously crafted from sourcing to packaging. At RURAL, we believe that slowing down is how we find connection and contentment. Because wellness extends beyond the home, a portion of every sale is donated to programs supporting mental health and suicide prevention. Locally made. Consciously crafted. Designed for slow living.

This is our 3rd or 4th reorder of these beautiful candles. They sell like hot cakes and fill the showroom with scent. As soon as you cut open the box the smell hits you and it's wonderful. My personal favourite scent is Forest. Our customers are drawn to Vacation - it's our top seller. Wonderful candles, wonderful customer service and highly recommend.

These candles smell UNREAL amazing. Strong but not overpowering. Simple, minimalist vessels and packaging, fast fulfillment and wonderful customer service.

These candles are gorgeous and smell so good! They are true to the scent descriptions but not overly sweet like fruity smells can sometimes be. Gorgeous packaging and very high quality!
