We opened our futon workshop in downtown Tokyo in 1917, and since then, we have been crafting authentic Japanese futon bedding with the natural texture and warmth of cotton for over 100 years. Today, the majority of futons used around the world are made from urethane or synthetic fibers. Most of these materials are not recyclable, and futons and beds have become some of the most commonly discarded oversized waste items in recent years. Our futons are different. We use natural cotton that is biodegradable and gentle on both the body and the environment. Through our work, we hope to introduce traditional Japanese futons to more people around the world as a healthier and more sustainable bedding option. While cherishing the traditional techniques passed down through generations, we continue to pursue innovation to bring new value to Japanese futons for the future.Read their story
