About Kylie & Me

Meet Kaite, your typical 20-something. Her best friend and business partner Kylie, a retired racing greyhound, tricked Kaite into adopting her in May 2017 and life has never been the same. Since then, they’ve embarked on endless ice cream runs, discovered the power of bravery booties, conquered Halloween costume contests, and so much more. In August 2018, tragedy struck when Kylie broke all four of her metatarsals, leading to the amputation of her back left leg. Kaite thought Kylie would never be the same. A note received during Kylie’s recovery reminded the pair that “life’s too short to wear boring clothes” and they returned to creative houndie fashion endeavors to shine some light on dark days. Over the years, Kylie has taught Kaite lessons in resilience, overcoming obstacles, and living life fearlessly. Ever the stylish houndie, Kylie and Kaite have been making collars, leashes, coats, pajamas, and accessories for Kylie and her friends’ every occasion since 2017. After much hounding (see what we did there?), they decided to take the plunge and launch Kylie and Me in 2020, making Kylie’s signature fashions accessible to a larger audience. Read their story
