Tarwi is a food brand on a mission to create simple, tasty and convenient foods made of natural, high-quality, sustainably sourced ingredients with a regenerative footprint. The secret? Lupin Beans, one of the best and most sustainable plant-based proteins on the planet. Lupins are one of the few complete plant proteins, with 2x more protein and fibre than any other plant-protein source, and very low in carbohydrates. They are also regenerative agriculture heroes, fixating 30% more nitrogen to the soil than other legumes. We start our journey with Lummus, a Lupin-based hummus. It is the traditional hummus recipe, where we swap chickpeas with lupin beans.
